Take steps to gain control of your aching heart.
When considering those of us with an aching heart, perhaps it is best to let Billy Ray Cyrus lead us with his famous song, we've included the second and third verses, followed by that famous chorus...It goes a little something like this: "You can tell your ma I moved to Arkansas/ Or you can tell your dog to bite my leg/ Or tell your brother Cliff who's fist can tell my lips/ He never really liked me anyway/ Oh tell your Aunt Louise, tell anything you please/ Myself already knows that I'm okay/ Oh you can tell my eyes to watch out for my mind/ It might be walking out on me today.
But don't tell my heart, my achy breaky heart/ I just don't think it'd understand/ And if you tell my heart, my achy breaky heart/ He might blow up and kill this man/ Ooo."
Because what Cyrus does with his song, is, he strikes a chord that many of us can relate to. If you've ever had a broken heart, you know exactly what he means. The aching heart is the last one on the list to heal, often taking its sweet time in catching up with the rest. And when you're all alone and broken hearted in the world, you just don't know what you're capable of doing. It is difficult not to let the aching heart throw the voice of reason out the window and dictate that you do some things that might have been better off lf undone. Because, that's just it, a heartache makes you come undone.
