	<title>Long Distance Relationships</title>
	<description>
There are many different scenarios to long distance relationships. No matter which of them pertains to you, you've got a decision to make, and not an easy one. On this page, we'll offer som advice on long distance relationships.

Depending on the time that the two of you have been together and the strength of the bond that you share, there are a few options that you have. The first thing that each couple must do is take a good look at their relationships and decide together what is the best course of action.

Be on the Same Page in Long Distance Relationships
Initially, the thought of long distance relationships is enough to break many a heart, as the prospect can often times seem very bleak. So every couple that is thinking about long distance relationships need to talk openly and honestly with one another and express their true feelings on the subject. If there is one who is willing to do anything to keep the relationship alive (even when it becomes a long distance relationship) but the other prefers to see how things go, then you have a problem right off the bat. It does not pay to hang onto a relationship when your partner is not as committed to holding it together as you are. You will only end up hurt down the road and might possibly regret that you did not cut if off before the two of you became separated.

If you do decide that you can handle the whole thing and are willing to work hard for it, then the best thing to do is set down a few ground rules before the separation takes place. Think about how much the relationship means to you and what you can do to keep it together at both ends. Concentrate on all of the positive aspects of a long distance relationship, get a bit of advice on relationships from a professional who has dealt with these situations before.

Too many long distance relationships turn out to be failed long distance relationships. But there are ways to make it work and if the couple truly loves each other than there is no reason to end such a good thing - it may be hard to get used to and maintain, but it might be better than breakups.
