	<title>Online Relationships</title>
	<description>
Online relationships are some of the newest types of relationships that there are. Before the Internet, the closest comparison would have been a pen-pal set up. But, with the Internet, you can move much more quickly and they tend to feel more genuine then they really are. No matter how long you have been chatting with someone else, you still need to keep the online relationships in check and not let the other person get too comfortable.

Take Precautions with Online Relationships
There are, of course, many online relationships that turn into long term relationships and even marriage. One of the most common problems with online relationships is when a person goes online and registers with a dating site under all false information. They put up a picture of someone else and all of the details about them are totally fabricated. Many people will do this so that they can "be" the type of person that they have always wanted to be. They will present themselves as being younger, better looking, better educated and more successful then they really are.

The strangest thing about it is that they will still often meet the people that have developed online relationships with face-to-face, and when you meet someone completely different from who you thought they would be, it can be quite creepy to say the least. It seems as though many people think that all they have to do is get you to meet them, even if it is under false pretenses, and you will forgive them or something. Even worse, they may have different motives in mind.

Things to Consider About Online Relationships
That being said, your best policy is to be suspicious of everyone until you meet with them in person and really get to know them better. Many people who use the Internet to prey on people will make it sound as though they understand you and that they have been through similar experiences. If you make mention of the fact that you have been through some failed relationships, odds are the joker will tell you that he too has suffered from the heartless acts of former girlfriends.

We know that many people have found true and lasting love through online relationships, but there are also some dangers with an online relationship that one has to always keep in mind.
